Customs Declaration Changes
From 1 November 2026, new product identification requirements will apply to eligible e-commerce shipments entering the European Union with an intrinsic value of €150 or less.
EshopWedrop has updated its customs declaration system to accommodate these changes. Please read the following information carefully before completing your customs declaration.
1. What has changed in the customs declaration process?
New product identification information is required for eligible shipments with an intrinsic value of €150 or less.
The EshopWedrop customs declaration form has been updated to accommodate the new requirements. Depending on your parcel and the information requested in the form, you may need to provide additional details about the products you have purchased.
2. Why are these changes being introduced?
The changes are intended to support compliance with updated European Union customs requirements for eligible e-commerce shipments.
Providing accurate product information helps customs authorities identify the goods being shipped and supports the customs clearance process.
3. What is a Product Identifier (PID)?
A Product Identifier is a code used to identify a specific product. For eligible parcels with an intrinsic value of €150 or less, you must provide the NS-PID (Non-standardised Manufacturer Product Identifier). The S-PID (Standardised Manufacturer Product Identifier) is optional.
4. Where can I find the required NS-PID?
The NS-PID is the product code assigned by the manufacturer or supplier. You can usually find it on the seller's website, on the product page, in the product specifications or in the manufacturer's product catalogue.
Look for information labelled “Manufacturer Part Number”, “Manufacturer Product Code” or “MPN”. The exact label and location may vary depending on the seller.
If you cannot find the code, please contact the seller for assistance.
5. Do I need to provide Product Identifiers for every product in my parcel?
Yes. For eligible parcels with an intrinsic value of €150 or less, the NS-PID is mandatory for each product line, where applicable. If your parcel contains multiple products, you must provide the corresponding NS-PID for each product.
The S-PID is optional and can be provided if available.
6. What should I do if I cannot find the NS-PID?
First, check the product page on the seller's website, your order details and the product specifications. You can also consult the manufacturer's catalogue.
If you still cannot find the NS-PID, please contact the seller or manufacturer to request the product code.
As the NS-PID is mandatory for eligible parcels valued at €150 or less, please try to obtain the correct information before submitting your customs declaration.
7. What if a Product Identifier is missing?
The NS-PID is mandatory for eligible parcels with an intrinsic value of €150 or less. Please make sure you provide the correct NS-PID for each product line.
The S-PID is optional. If it is available, you may provide it with customs declaration. If the product does not have an S-PID, you do not need to provide one.
Please ensure that all information you submit is accurate, as missing or incorrect mandatory product information may cause delays in customs clearance and delivery.
8. What happens if I provide incorrect or incomplete information?
Missing or inaccurate Product Identifier information may result in your parcel being held by customs and may cause delays in customs clearance, processing or delivery.
Please check your information carefully before submitting your customs declaration and ensure that it corresponds to the products you purchased.
9. Can I complete my customs declaration now?
Yes. The customs declaration system has been updated, and customs declarations for both UK and US parcels are available again.
Please complete your declaration using the current form and provide the information requested.
10. What should I do if I have questions about my customs declaration?
First, check the product information available on the seller's website, your invoice or your order details.
If you still need assistance, contact EshopWedrop Customer Support through the usual support channels.
Please ensure that you provide accurate product information to help avoid unnecessary customs clearance delays.
Thank you for your cooperation.
